In spite of the grey skies and cold temperatures, my Happy Eater tree has decided enough is enough, and spring is here. Today it produced it’s first little bunch of flowers in celebration.
Not the best of photo’s as gloom is the order of the day, but it’s nice to think that in a few weeks the whole tree will be covered in these.
Good to see this when it has been wet and gloomy here too. Despite Spring being around the corner, it seems we are going to have to suffer some wet, windy, and dull weather before it shows its face. As my birthday is in March, I always look forward to that month. But I never forget the old saying. “March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb.”
Best wishes, Pete..

Crocus are up round here, will try and get a shot as they plant them in swirls down the centre of our dual carriageways.

Spring! I saw some signs of it on our trip to New Orleans, but we’re supposed to get six inches of snow here over the next 24 hours. Our part of the States seems not to have gotten the message that it should be warm (or it forgot about it temporarily).
