Thursday Thoughts

It’s my wedding anniversary today, and Phil’s of course, it’s our 5th year of being ringed.  We are not celebrating as he is at work until 9pm and then on call for emergencies, so it’s just another day, but feels nice. I wonder who decided 5/10/15/20 numbers seem to have more import than say 4/8/12/16 but they somehow do.   I suppose because of the ease of remembering them.   Of course because Phil does like his WW2 history so I am now in permanent remembrance of Adolph ruddy Hitler’s birthday.   :/  We didn’t plan for that but I suppose there aren’t enough days in the year to have one all to yourself!  It could be worse.

Anyway, I’ve had a happy 5 years so far, and Phil hasn’t throttled me yet, and I haven’t put arsenic in his dinner, yet 🙂 so on with the next 5!

I had some lovely lilies last week, I changed them out for some roses today, I have a feeling the roses will be in the Friday Film post 🙂

  1. Congratulations on your fifth anniversary. From down here, it seems to me that you two pretty much have life sorted, and I couldn’t be happier for you. Julie and I have been married for seven years now, (eight in September) but we have been together since the year 2000. We do always try to do something to celebrate the day, perhaps a trip, or a meal out in the evening, but I appreciate that is very difficult for you, with Phil working shifts.
I always look forward to your Thursday thoughts by the way. keep them coming.
(And try not to hum ‘Springtime for Hitler’ in your head tonight.)
Oh well, here it is then. 🙂 🙂
