A couple of weeks ago I took the Rollei off to Little Haven beach to see if I could overcome the loading problems I’d had with the camera in my previous outing. Luckily all seems well now and I got 10 out of 12 decent shots, so up to 83% postable shots! π
Due to the weather I haven’t been out with it since, so will split this into a 2 parter.
It was a lovely sunny late afternoon when I got there, nice blue sky, and I took a few detail shots on the way to the beach
Herd Groyne is always photogenic especially contrasted against the blue sky
Lots of seaweed covered rocks at this end of the beach
the sun was going down as I walked back from the beach to see the Weebles, I’ll post those next time,
Really nice – especially the last two. Yay! Did the CLA help the camera out, too?

I didn’t take it in in the end, after researching on the net, it appears films in the old days had a thicker feed in, which the rollei detects, but some newer films such as fuji pro, have thin feed in’s, so the rollei wasn’t detecting the start of the film proper and just kept winding on. No problem with Kodak, so far at least.

Nice to see those more natural colours on film stock. And that lens really does do blurred backgrounds so well.
Best wishes, Pete.

I know! We have so many weirdo names up here. It’s actually Herd Groyne Lighthouse, I’ve written about it somewhere in the dark recesses of the blog, but can’t remember what I wrote ππ I will never look at it again without seeing cowboys itching their particulars. π
