I love growing Orchids. I have killed a fair few in my time, but the latest ones I’ve had for a couple of years or so now. Most of them lost all their flowers and have lain dormant for 18 months, but about 6 months ago 2 of them started to grow new stems. They are so slow!! They eventually got a few flower buds on them, though not many, and have done nothing else for weeks. But this evening one of the buds has started to open up, such excitement!

We have a friend in the southern part of Fl. And all she has to do is repot it in a tree, and it takes. Can you imagine. Thus is a beauty Fraggy 🥀

I do orchids as well. I’ve got 8 at the moment, all in good health, although one needs repotting. they’re such delicate things to sit and look at.

I have a friend who taught me how to look after them. I’ve only lost one in about 15 years thanks to her.

I’m not allowed near Gosias collection, she always seems to have one flowering somewhere in the house.
They have quite an alien look about them when you get up close.

Actually the last one I had, I gave it to a relative for adoption lol and she’s brought it back to life .
Too worried to bring it back into my care in case I ruin all her hard work!
