How annoying, 2 days of sunshine and I’m working on both of them! Of course the weather will change for the worse on my days off. Sigh. Never mind, I’m used to it π
Today I photographed the new plant in the garden. Can’t remember what it is, a hydrangea I think. It was flowering very prettily when we bought it, lovely pale pink petals. So I was surprised to see IN YOUR FACE RED petals beginning to open up this week.
Had to find this in the Reader. Nice plant! π
Best wishes, Pete.

Cheers Pete, I think that’s gonna be a permanent thing. (The reader I mean).

I believe the colour is determined by the acidity of the soil, you could probably alter it by adding red wine to the earth, god forbid π

I think I got it wrong Eddy, it’s a rhododendron- azalea, which I’ve just discovered has toxins in the nectar which make bees produce ‘mad honey’! Oh dear.

Hydrangeas change color according to the ph of the soil. The rhododendron-azalea I know nothing about. Hey, as long as it’s pretty, eh?! π

Yes, a bit worried about the mad bees though!
