I used to quite like a drop of ‘mother’s ruin’. Not so sure about oriental spices in it though. I preferred Bombay Sapphire with a nice Scweppes tonic. 🙂

Dear God szechuan peppers really?! I’m trying Eddy’s cucumber and black pepper tonight and have to say it is rather scrumptious. Will put your recipe on the list!
Got a little box of botanicals for gin at xmas – containing sachets of: szechuan peppers (my favourite); pink peppers; cardomon pods; and juniper berries. Have also had one with a sprig of toasted rosemary from a pop-up pizza oven place, which was rather nice.

It’s not gin as I remember it, it’s quite spicey/herby. Very nice. Look out for it in Walgreens 🤣🤣🤣

It is definitely gin! Just the last time I had it was in the Jurassic era, and I don’t remember it being so nice! 🤣

My tonic is also Schweppes 😊 I like the sapphire too, but this has a smokey oriental edge.

Try with a slice of cucumber, ice, tonic and fresh ground black pepper, you will be pleasantly surprised (I hope) 🙂 A perfect summer drink.
