Back in the Jurassic era, when I was 9 years old, the best thing to come on to the TV was an American programme called The Land of The Giants. I loved it. It was about a spaceship and crew from Earth crash landing on an unnamed planet, which was peopled by, well, giant people, just like humans. I fell in love with Gary Conway, one of the stars, and I imagine all the chaps fell in love with Deana Lund, a bit of a hot babe for those times.
Here’s the trailer for it which should give you a giggle, no CGI back then!
I may be photographically inspired ๐
I am much older than you, but I always watched it! Well done with your photographic tribute, FR. ๐
That made me think of ‘The Time Tunnel’ too.
Best wishes, Pete.

Don’t know ‘ the time tunnel’ another one I’ve missed. But there’ll be more land of the giant pics I think ๐

Thanks Pete, I used to like old James Darren so am surprised this passed me by, though I would only have been 6yrs old when that came out, only thing I can remember from the TV back then is Basil Brush ๐

Thanks M.B you’re probably too young to remember it, but if you’re ever holed up on the sofa with flu, call up the episodes on YouTube, have a giggle.

I remember Land of the Giants. What I didn’t notice as a child, but is glaringly obvious now, is that the proportions of the giant world are not consistent. The camera in the trailer is bigger than the telephone. Gary Conway obviously made little impact on me, because I had to google him to remind myself what he looked like. I like your homage.

Laughing my little bum off!
The photo is BRILLIANT!!!!
But that clip…hey remember the first clash of the titans film with Harry Hamlin? The effects reminded me of that lol.
But back to you. You make me giggle.
Love this pic. I’d have that on my wall. I’d call it…
“Where are the forking brakes on this thing!”

Well look at that 1968 to 1970. Short lived , and oh sure I can see why you like Gary Conway;), but I really donโt know any of the actors. I did live lost in space, but…. I was much much younger :).

Great shot Fraggy. Not being into sci-fi I would never have been interested (then or now).

When kid I loved the show. Although it was weird to me (at six or seven years old) to notice some actors were in Lost in Space too. As if it would break the magic. Very creative homage in your composition, fragglerocking. I like it very much :3

A bit with pressure of deadlines I am afraid :S But things are more hopeful than months ago luckily. How are you, dear fragglerocking? I see you got to travel and expand your photography to new creative ways. Cheers : )
